An increasing subsection of the booming vape industry is breaking into the Make your own ejuice scene. Home e-juice concoction offers a range of advantages for both fresh and seasoned vapors. For example, DIY juice isn’t only more cost-effective than retail purchases, but it opens up an almost infinite number of flavor combinations that you won’t usually find in supermarkets. You’ll get to take pride in making delicious juices that nobody else has ever tried before.

Somebody might say “Making my juice sounds boring and complex.” Nope! It’s not. A recipe, a handful of necessary pieces of equipment, and four basic ingredients are all you need to start. From there, you’re free to play, make recipes adjustments and blend to the content of your heart. For starters let’s begin with what you will need.

Bottles-You’ll need some bottles to store your e-liquid. For innovation, plastic drip tip bottles tend to be the most cost-effective choice since keeping bottles clean enough to reuse with a particular flavor tends to be more hassle than it is worth. Although less raw material will be used for each variation batch, the trade-off for using smaller bottles for your experiment is that the calculations and measurements will need to be more precise. The already limited quantities in which you work can be more difficult to reliably quantify when dealing with larger volumes.

Syringes- These allow you to extract the exact amount of nicotine, PG / VG or flavor you need and pass it to your jar for mixing. This will help to ensure you can reproduce your latest creation reliably until the formula is the way you want it to be.

Containers– If you’re making bigger quantities you’ll want some graduated cylinders or beakers for sure. These aren’t required for your simple DIYing kitchen counter but can be useful to avoid cross-contamination if, for example, you have a small number of syringes. (For example, if you use the same syringe for flavor and nicotine, you could end up moving both of them from one bottle to the other bottle if you are not careful)

Gloves-Since nicotine can be absorbed through the skin, and only the best of us spills what we sometimes work with, gloves would be important to have while you work.

PG or VG- Since both flavors and nicotine are very concentrated, dilution is needed to make your vaping experience a pleasurable one. VG or PG will be the carrier fluid or foundation that makes up much of the Formula. VG and PG e-juice have different viscosities, tastes, and sensations of a different throat as you wave them. E-liquids typically have a mixture of both in a specific ratio. The most popular ratios are 50:50 or 70:30 although it is generally best to start some experimentation.

Flavor- there’s plenty of flavors to choose from when it comes to e-liquids. However, you can get a better-tasting e-juice if you use flavors that are made to be inhaled rather than to opt for food flavorings. One of the best known brands when it comes to flavoring is Flavorah. If you are not using any of their flavors then you are missing on quality flavors.

It’s important to pay careful attention to the label on the flavor as some require adding specific quantities.
