Five Pawns Castle Long Review

Manufacturer: Five Pawns

Flavor: Castle Long

Flavors: Bourbon, toasted coconut, almond, vanilla bean, brown sugar

Overview

For this e-Liquid review, if you unfamiliar with Five Pawns, let’s just say these guys are at the top of their game when it comes to making quality e-liquid. Everything is made in a state-of-the-art lab under super controlled conditions. Check out the video at the bottom!

Nose

The toasted coconut and brown sugar gets you as soon as you open the bottle up. To me, the combination almost makes a peanut butter kind of smell but a little bit sweeter. Right underneath that layer is just a hint of bourbon.

Inhale

The first flavor that hit me was the toasted coconut and brown sugar. Very prominent on the inhale. You’d think it would be overwhelmingly sweet but it isn’t. The almond balances it out quite nicely so that the sweetness isn’t overpowering. It inhales smoothly and has a unique throat hit that I haven’t felt on any other juice. You feel it on your throat, but it isn’t rough or harsh at all.

Exhale

Smooth, smooth exhale with creamy vanilla and just a slight bite of bourbon at the back of the throat. Right as you exhale you get the full force of toasted coconut and brown sugar. Those two flavors are easily the most prominent and are present at every stage of the juice. It lingers on the tongue for quite a while after the exhale.

Vapor Texture

The texture is a little thin and the clouds don’t linger for too long, most likely due to the 50/50 PG to VG ratio found on all Five Pawns juices, which cannot be customized. Not a juice to use when cloud chasing, but then again why would you want to? It tastes too good to use up that fast and it’s premium juice so it’s a little on the expensive side.

Pros

Powerful flavor that is balanced very well. Not too sweet, not too rough on the throat. Definitely a juice to savor and can easily be an all-day vape.

Cons

You can’t customize your PG/VG ratios so if you are sensitive to PG then this is not the juice for you. The bottles as of right now are also only sold in 30mL sizes. At close to $30 a bottle, you have to be sure you like the flavor before dishing out that kind of cash for a bottle. Make sure you sample it first!

Afterthoughts

This was my first experience with a Five Pawns juice and I was pleasantly surprised. Normally I prefer a high VG to PG ratio but I was impressed with how smooth of a vape it is even at a 50/50 ratio. Overall, Castle Long made a great first experience with Five Pawns juice and I definitely want to check out more of it. It’s definitely one of the most expensive juice brands on the market but there’s a reason for that: You pay for quality.
